Already the path by the side of the house leading here is fast being overgrown. By summer's end the weeds will easily hit 6 feet in height! Since I never use that path and always access the yard via the rear sliders, I see no reason to expend an effort to keep it clear!
David - Because this path is bordered on one side by the side of my garage and the other by the back of the professional office's yards on the other side, it cannot be seen from the street, so, no one cares! Were this the front of the house I too would be in trouble it I let it grow.
And your other comment is spot on; last summer in August as I walked the path just for the experience I began to hear jungle drums a few steps in and had to run to escape the multiple spears and arrows that came my way! It was a near escape!!

Chris,
That is an excellent tree. I really enjoy this time of year and must get out and photograph blossoms and the creatures that inhabit them!

Great Scott! Evil creatures might easily lurk in the tall weeds!
We have weed abatement regulations here. If I do not keep the weeds trimmed to ground level, I will be fined.
Beware the path!
